Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford Taurus, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack 2500 series roof rack, consisting of part numbers DS126B, and this is the 2500 series roof rack, which includes the square crossbars and the legs, and finally, part number DK229. This is the custom fit kit for the Ford Taurus.The Rhino Rack 2500 series roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your vehicle. Now, it does have the square bar design, which can be a little bit louder while you travel. However, you have two options with that. They do have fairings that you can attach to the front square bars, which you can find on etrailer.com, or you could upgrade the bars to their Vortex Aero bars, which are much quieter.The bars measure 49 inches long, and combined, have a carrying capacity of 165 pounds. But you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand those weights. more

These are the 2,500 series legs for the Vortex Aero crossbars. Here on our 2013 Ford Taurus, we have our Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Bar Roof Rack System consisting of the Vortex Aero Bars. That's going to be Part Number RRVA126B-2. The Rhino Rack legs and that's going to be Part Number RRLKVA. The Fit Kit, which is going to consist of the rubber pads and the brackets to mount it to our car. That's going to be Part Number DK229. Now, the bars are also available in silver using Part Number RRVA126S-2. This is going to allow you to free up space in your car, making more room for passengers while still being able to carry your gear down the road. more

Whispbar Through Bar Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Ford Taurus

Today on our2014 Ford Taurus, we'll be test fitting the Whispbar through bar rack system. Bars part number WB-S17 and fit kit part number WB-K547. With the roof rack assembled according to the instructions, we'll begin our test fit by opening the front doors of our Taurus. We will now take our front bar, place it onto the roof, now with the bar on the roof, we'll measure 9 13/16 inches from the door jam to the center of the foot kit. We will now do this on both sides of the vehicle to make sure that the feet are properly aligned on both sides. Now we can use the included tool to tighten it down to the roof of the car. Now we can go ahead and open the rear doors of the car. We will go ahead and place the rear bar on the roof, and we'll measure 17 11/16 inches from the center of the door jam to the center of the foot kit. more

Today on our 2013 Ford Taurus we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Q Towers Roof Rack system. We're using the fifty-eight inch round bars today. They're part number is Y00409. The Q Towers foot pack, part number Y00124, and two fit kits, one part number Y00634, the other Y00716. We're going to open the front doors on our Taurus. We'll grab the front half of our roof rack system and place it onto the roof. more

Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Roof Rack Installation - 2014 Ford Taurus

Today on our 2014 Ford Taurus, we're going to be test fitting the Rhino Rack Vortex Arrow roof rack system using part numbers RRVA126B-2, RRRLKVA, and Dk229. With a rack assembled according to the manufacturers instructions, we'll begin our test fit by opening our front doors and placing the front portion of our roof rack on to the roof line of our vehicle. Per Rhino Rack's fit guide, we'll measure 30 cm from the rear edge of our windshield to the front edge of our foot pad. We'll do this measurement on both sides to be sure we have our feet in line with each other. With our feet lined up, we'll bring the clamps around the underside of our roof line, and move side to side, tightening up a little bit at a time. With the front portion of our roof rack secure, we'll close our front doors, open our rear doors, and grab the rear half of our rack. We'll place it on to our rear roof line, and we'll take a second measurement. This time it will be 70 cm from the center of our front bar to the center of our rear bar. more

Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack Installation - 2012 Ford Taurus

Today we're working with a 2012 Ford Taurus and we'll be test fitting a Yakima Roof Rack System. We'll be using the 58-inch round crossbars part number Y00409, the Q clips associated with this vehicle Y00634 and Y00716 as well as the Q Towers part number Y00124. Now we've already assembled our roof rack according to the instructions and ready to mount it up on our vehicle. The first thing we need to do is open the driver and passenger side front doors. We'll take our front bar assembly and set it up on top of the roof. To position it properly, we need to measure 11 inches from the edge of the glass on our windshield to the leading edge of the Q tower on either side of the vehicle. more
